Beyond the Shades of Gray: Because Homosexuality is a Symptom, Not a Solution by Dean Bailey

Released in January 2012, the book that was inspired by the testimony and information on this website is finally here! Available in hard cover, paperback, and digital editions, through WestBow Press Bookstore, or through your preferred book retailer.

This is a book that is based upon Christian fundamentals and beliefs. So I use practical applications of Bible Scripture throughout the book, without religiosity. And I use them to confront various aspects of this very controversial subject, head-on. Therefore, I make no apologies for the portions of this book that may seem to be more graphic in nature than your average "Christian" book usually is. Homosexuality is a subject that absolutely needs to be dealt with truthfully, and without religious avoidance of those kinds of topics and questions that may otherwise seem "inappropriate" to mention within a "Christian" book, or church setting.

CDC Health & Statistical Information:

While we certainly disagree with any apparent governmental endorsement of homosexuality, the CDC web site does contain accurate and specific health and statistical information that should serve to discourage this dangerous and clearly unhealthy sexual behavior.

A statement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: "People who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) are members of every community. They are diverse, come from all walks of life, and include people of all races and ethnicities, all ages, all socioeconomic statuses, and from all parts of the country. The perspectives and needs of LGBT people should be routinely considered in public health efforts to improve the overall health of every person and eliminate health disparities."

The Biblical, Theological Facts on Homosexuality:

Click the image to the left to be taken to an excerpt from the Baker Theological Dictionary Of The Bible. This additional information on homosexuality is offered as a theological supplement to the testimonial information contained in the article you've just read.

Do you want to look up a Bible verse? You can do so at no cost by simply clicking on this link. But I also encourage you to purchase your own Bible very soon, and to begin reading it daily as a healthy practice of devotion and study.

Other Great Testimonies of Freedom from Homosexuality:

At Voices Of Change, we are men and women who have experienced authentic change in sexual orientation. The testimonials presented here are the authentic voices; men and women who have experienced authentic change in their sexual orientation. Here, they speak for the many Americans and people around the world for whom homosexuality is not naturally inborn. Sadly, the causes of their homosexual feelings were caused by gender identity inferiority, unmet emotional needs, and/or emotional and sexual abuse, usually as very young children. The good news is that these men and women benefitted by the transformative power of sound therapeutic interventions by professional therapists. For many, spirituality played a role in their transformation as well. We urge you to listen to their stories. These are voluntary testimonials of real people, and they represent evidence of varying levels of authentic change. These stories also reflect sound scientific research which indicates change is possible.

Finding Masculinity - A Journey Beyond Western Stereotypes Into Biblical Wholeness, by Dean Bailey, Author of Beyond the Shades of Gray. Dean, author of this website and the book by the same name, takes from his map-reading and navigation skills that he learned during his military career, and he uses them as metaphorical examples to guide you through a personal journey of discovered confidence in your own masculinity. A simple, quick and encouraging read that every man can enjoy! This book is currently only available as a PDF download, in manuscript format, and only from this location. (Just click on the book cover to the left). Dean plans to publish this new work soon, once it is finalized. So continue to watch for it right here!

A Young Man's Journey: Healing for Young Men with Unwanted Homosexual Feelings, by Floyd Godfrey. On Amazon, one young man writes: "I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to change their unwanted homosexual feelings, or those interested in helping someone who is dealing with unwanted homosexual feelings. Since reading the book an beginning to work through it with my therapist, I have already noticed positive changes!"

Destiny Bridge: A Journey Out of Homosexuality by Frank Worthen. Frank is considered to be the father of the ex-gay movement, and he has an honest, powerful, and convincing story to share with us. Homosexuality is a divisive issue today. Many see it as a war between Christians and gays, but what if a Christian has same-sex attractions or conversely, if a gay person is also a Christian? There is likely to be a deep conflict between their faith and their desires. It is a strange and twisted world when a doctor can perform a ghoulish operation to make a man into a woman, and the world applauds his work while the new transsexual now is entitled to government aid to settle into a happy and secure life. Conversely, a gay man who receives help from a therapist to change from gay to straight is considered a traitor to the gay cause, and the therapist finds himself subject to disbarment and possible criminal charges. Can gays change? Should they be allowed to change? Are ex-gays the only people group denied free choice? Find the truth for yourself. Read this book, but be forewarned it contains some raunchy episodes and is definitely NOT for children.

In this little book, Heaven Is For Real, you'll encounter the disarming innocense and plainspoken boldness of a 3-year-old child, and his account of his journey to heaven and back. It is "a beautifully written glimpse into heaven that will encourage those who doubt and thrill those who believe"--Ron Hall. This is the extraordinary and inspiring, true story of 3-year-old Colton Burpo. I've chosen to list this book, because, without your faith first being inspired to believe in Jesus, then none of the rest of it really matters.

Do you struggle to believe that all that Jesus said in the Bible is specifically for you, or that all of God's promises can apply to your life, here on Earth, today? Do you struggle to believe that God can, or is even willing to free you from homosexuality? Then Extraordinary - The Life You're Meant to Live, by John Bevere, is for you! You'll never be free from homosexuality without God, and you'll never experience true freedom without finding the faith to believe in the Power of God's grace within your life!

The journey to overcome homosexual sin must follow the biblical process of renewing the human mind from out of the world's ways of thinking, and transforming it to God's way of thinking! The Maximized Life Journey, by Dr. I.V. Hilliard, is a 52-Day guide to completing that process, in a direct and purposeful manner. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:2)

God's Grace and the Homosexual Next Door, by Alan Chambers. Are you a Christian who has ever desired to minister the love of Christ to a practicing homosexual, but you didn't know how? This is an excellent book to add to your library, even if that is not the case. With the prevelent rise of homosexuality, if you have not yet had the opportunity to minister to such a person, the day is soon coming when you will!

Dying for Love, The Plain Truth About Homosexuality: Pastor Perri Roberts chronicles his remarkable journey from an abused childhood to a young adulthood filled with homosexuality, confusion, torment, and fear, to a glorious victory through Jesus Christ. Beyond his unforgettable story, Roberts offers powerful lessons on the cause of homosexuality, how to find deliverance, how to conduct spiritual warfare, and what Sodom and Gomorrah really mean. Parents, spouses, or others with gay loved ones, or those who want deliverance themselves, will find this book an invaluable map on the road to freedom.

The Dude's Guide to Manhood ~ Finding True Manliness In a World of Counterfeits, by Pastor Darrin Patrick. Discover the path to true masculinity—to an adventurous life of strength, purpose, and clarity! Didn’t we used to understand manhood? Wasn’t there a time once when it was clear and straightforward? Are we lost? Dudes, look around you: The trail we once traveled from boyhood to maturity is now so overgrown, it’s almost impossible to trace. Our vision is blurred, rendering the map that previous generations followed unreadable. Our compass needles are spinning in circles, making navigation impossible. We are stuck in dense, dangerous woods, and our communities—the wives, children, friends, and colleagues we could be influencing—are suffering as a result.

Healing the Masculine Soul: by Gordon Dalbey. In an era when masculinity is often dismissed as violent, destructive, and at best, unnecessary, you're called to a renewal of godly courage and strength, as lover of a woman, father, worker, warrior, and church member. You began life with a natural, life-or-death dependency upon a woman, within your own mother's womb. In order to grow into manhood, a boy needed a father to call him away from the woman, and into the company of men. Many men today can't do that for their sons, however, because their own fathers did not do it for them. That deep wound of abandonment still festers in our masculine soul.

Precious Son - The Impact of AIDS on an Evangelical Christian Family: Narrated by the father of a victim of the AIDS epidemic, this true story of his son's life and death explores two themes: one, the mystery of God's providence that permitted a young Christian to yield to the pervasive power of his sexual preference, despite his walking in the Christian Faith throughout his early years; and, two, a profile of the turmoil, agony and poignant response of his parents, who in the face of this fact, never abandoned their son and continued to love him unconditionally.

Preventing Homosexuality: What can be done to foster the development of healthy heterosexual orientation in our children? The clinical experience of Dr. Nicolosi and others, and their careful look at the professional literature, is an invaluable resource to parents.

Getting It Straight: Homosexual activism on television, and in the media, makes outlandish research claims to further their own agenda. They've twisted the data, and slanted their "research" criteria in order to intentionally deceive the public at large... But why? Because no one can make a case in support of homosexual behaviors, based upon the ethical and truthful research that is indeed available! If you want to know the truth of what current research actually says about homosexuality, then this book is a must for you.

Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth: A Christian psychiatrist examines the latest research, refuting the alleged genetic basis for homosexuality and assessing the social power homosexuals have gained. Dr. Satinover writes, "Since the professional normalization of homosexuality, we no longer hear of the many successful programs that continue to 'cure' homosexuality nor of the deeply moving stories of those who have successfully negotiated this difficult passage."

Tolerance currently occupies a very high place in Western societies. It is considered politically incorrect-even hateful-to question it. In The Intolerance of Tolerance, however, questioning tolerance-or, at least, contemporary understandings of tolerance-is exactly what D. A. Carson does. The book traces the subtle but enormous shift in the way we have come to understand tolerance over recent years-from defending the rights of those who hold different beliefs, to affirming all beliefs as equally valid and correct. He looks back at the history of this shift and discusses its implications for culture today, especially its bearing on democracy, discussions about good and evil, and Christian truth itself.

Into The Light - The Gospel, the Homosexual, and the Church by Peter Hubbard. Homosexuality... How can Christians live in a culture that celebrates the gay lifestyle, yet worship among believers who rarely talk about it—except to condemn it? How can Christians be salt and light to homosexuals? Find out how in this work of uncompromising truth and genuine compassion, co-existing together in pefect harmony, within one remarkable book.

Homosexuality - The Use of Scientific Research in the Church's Moral Debate: We naturally look to scientific studies for answers. But what does the scientific research actually show? Stanton Jones and Mark Yarhouse help us face these issues squarely and honestly. In four central chapters they examine how scientific research has been used within church debates. They then survey the most recent and best scientific research and sort out what it actually shows. In a concluding chapter they make a very strong case for a traditional Christian sexual ethic.

Bringing Up Boys: Focus on the Family's, Dr. James Dobsin, provides the essential information all parents need who are raising young boys to become Christian men of integrity.

Father Wounds by Francis Anfuso: "As an abandoned and abused son, my soul suffered long-term destruction. But my wounded heart was exactly what God wanted to heal and restore. I discovered God is the Father I always wanted. He’s the perfect Dad I needed all along. God can help you forgive the parent who hurt you. He wants to heal you completely and use you mightily in the lives of others! Today is the day to step into the wholeness and destiny God has for His children!"

Wild At Heart: John Eldredge takes adult men on a truly awesome adventure and journey to rediscover their God-given essence as men in a fallen world. Great read for married women as well. But definitely a "must read" for all men!

The Way Of The Wild Heart: This sequel reaches out to "unfinished men" trying to understand and live their role as men and fathers. Picking up where Wild at Heart (see above) left off, it explores six biblically based stages, initiating men into a new understanding and ownership of their manhood, and equipping them to effectively lead their sons to manhood.

Sex, Lies & The Media: Essential resource for parents. Help children develop healthy, godly attitudes toward sexuality in an age when sex is a marketing tool for everything. Wilkinson Series: Bruce Wilkinson, author of The Prayer of Jabez, offers this series of works as a resource
for practical, Christian living.

Every Man's Battle / Every Young Man's Battle: Winning the war on sexual temptation one victory at a time. These books shatter the perception that men are unable to control their roving eyes, with the stories of dozens who have escaped the trap of sexual immorality. They present a practical, detailed plan for any man or young man who desires sexual purity.

The Gospel & Sexual Orientation: In 2010, a committee was appointed by the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America to study “one of the most important cultural issues of our day.” Synod saw the need to provide guidance for congregations on the subject of homosexual orientation, not simply about the scriptural, scientific and moral issues, but also guidance for care and counsel to someone who believes their identity is homosexual. The result is a rare paper worthy of a book and worthy of a readership beyond a small church denomination and even beyond the realm of conservative presbyterianism.

The Agenda: Conservative, Christian pastor, Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, of the Traditional Values Coalition , exposes the hidden agenda of the homosexual movement in our schools, in our courts and even in our churches with documentation never before revealed. An informative, eye-opener for all!

Recommended Audio, DVD & Internet Media:

My Hope America - The Cross (with Billy Graham) The Reverend Billy Graham has been called America's Pastor. In this 30-minute video, prepared for the occasion of Dr. Graham's 95th birthday, he faithfully shares once again the simple Gospel message of hope that is found only in the cross, in what will perhaps become his very last evangelistic message to our world-in-need. No matter who you are or what it is that life has dealt to you, none of us can help but to greatly respect this man and the loving dedication he has given his entire life toward in sharing this message of hope with our broken world. It is listed first in this section for a very good reason, and it is well worth your 30-minutes to view it.

Dean Bailey (Author of Beyond the Shades of Gray) shares a portion of his Christian testimony of freedom from homosexuality, with Greg and Dede Haislip of Overcomer Ministries, on this Blog-Talk Radio segment.

Dean's portion of the program begins at 0:55:30 on the timer.

Revival Stories is a collection of online videos which include helpful information and discussions about homosexulity itself, and also about loving and caring for people within the gay community as a form of Christian ministry. Attacked By Tolerance - How same-sex “marriage” advocates use violence against traditional marriage supporters: In this newly released video, volunteers with the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) describe how they were violently assaulted by pro-homosexual "marriage" advocates while promoting traditional marriage on college campuses and in the public square.

"The Homosexuals" 1967 CBS Documentary: This Mike Wallace documentary, The Homosexuals, is a frank examination of the self-destructive behavior of sexually-active homosexuals, the underlying psychological causes of their impulses, and their troubling influence on American culture. It also discusses curative therapy for homosexual orientation, which had a success rate in the 1960s of about one third, a result similar to that yielded by modern therapeutic methods. Truth from nearly a half-century ago that is still relevent today.

Hold On Tight: In this 7-minute video, Michael Voris of Church Militant TV unapologetically defends the traditional biblical position of the Catholic Church, along with the discounted beliefs of millions of other devout followers of Jesus Christ, in our mutual Christian stand against the pervasive evils of the sexual revolution and the immoral homosexual lifestyle, along with its political movement and activism. The Christian Faith and the American society are on a very confrontational collision course over these issues, and Michael warns the people of the Christian Faith to "hold on tight" to our biblical morality and beliefs, and to continue declaring the biblical truth of homosexuality's sinfulness.

Brant Hansen Interview with Sy Rogers:
This is Brant's most listened-to (and RE-listened to) podcast: Sy Rogers talks about sexuality, Jesus, and loving people who experience same-sex attraction. (38 minutes) Awesome Interview!

5 Key Points About Accountability - Helpful Aids for those Struggling with Pornography - by Luke Gilkerson: How do you foster a good accountability relationship, especially when you are talking about sensitive topics like lust and pornography?

Luke was asked some hard-hitting questions about the subject of accountability by some filmmakers who visited his ministry headquarters. They were gathering some interviews for a growing body of raw documentary footage called Scratching the Surface. Take a look at this 15-minute video.

The Global Threat of Homosexuality - by Pastor Scott Lively: This powerful and biblically informative video was originally posted on YouTube. Early in 2012, however, YouTube suddenly banned the video from its site, claiming it represented "hate speech." YouTube is owned by Google, which is extremely pro-homosexual in its censorship habits. Mass Resistance has re-posted it at this link, complete with the YouTube logo! Quite possibly the most enlightening speech you will hear on this subject. Zionica is featuring this internet video of a married Christian couple who share their testimony of coming to Jesus Christ, and leaving the homosexual lifestyle. Hear how they met at an Exodus International group and fell in love. They now run a ministry called Disciples of Purity, and explain that their identities are not “ex-gay” people, but present day followers of Jesus Christ.

It's Not Gay:
A story that few have heard. Former homosexuals tell their own story in their own words. Along with medical and mental health experts, these individuals express a clear warning that the sanitized version of homosexuality being presented to students is not the whole truth. Uncompromising, yet compassionate. A fair and balanced approach to this challenging subject.

They're Coming To Your Town: Residents of the small Arkansas town of Eureka Springs noticed the homosexual community was growing. But they felt no threat. They went about their business as usual. Then the Eureka Springs they knew is gone. The City Council had been taken over by a small group of homosexual activists. It is now a national hub for homosexuals. Eureka Springs is fast becoming the San Francisco of Arkansas. The story of how this happened is told in this DVD.

Most of the materials that have been produced to address LGBT issues in schools do not present the ex-gay perspective. The ridicule that ex-gays often face is not even mentioned. Our goal is to facilitate the development of tangible solutions to the problems faced by lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered, and ex-gay students on high school and college campuses, all while maintaining that the possibility of change must be presented for those who desire this path.

With love and understanding, the Church reaches out to all God’s children, including our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters.

Have you ever doubted the reliability of the Bible, especially with regard to creation? Answers in Genesis provides proof that the Bible—the “history book of the universe”—gives us a reliable, eye-witness account of the beginning of all things, and so it can be trusted to tell the truth in all areas it touches on. Therefore, we are able to use it to help us make sense of this present world. When properly understood, the “evidence” confirms the biblical account.

Resources Specifically for Women:

All Things New: A Former Lesbian's Lifelong Search for Love: The pages of this book chronicle the experiences of a woman who walked this journey and shares with you her struggles with complete transparency to encourage you to find true love. For Ministry Leaders Who Want to Do the Right Thing How should you respond to a person who walks through the doors of your church or your ministry, who is outwardly living their life contrary to your convictions and beliefs? This book will shock you and open your eyes to a better way to respond that will ultimately bring healing for them and encouragement for you. For People with Loved Ones Who Experience Same Sex Attraction Unconditional love is the right way to respond to a family member or friend who is experiencing same sex attraction. Judgment and condemnation provide no place for healing, but unconditional love is a soothing balm that heals. This book will show you a better way to love your loved ones who experience homosexuality.

No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Addiction: Since the introduction of the internet, it is now estimated that 40 to 50% of sex addicts are women. This is the very first book ever written to address the specific issues of female sexual addiction. Authored by a woman who has been through the secrecy and deep shame herself, prior to finding her recovery and sexual sobriety, author Marnie C. Ferree is also a licensed clinical psychologist. Find genuine hope for healing from this very sensitive and usually hidden struggle. Husbands who have felt isolated, trying to understand it, will also benefit from reading this book.

The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: Conversion put me in a complicated and comprehensive chaos. I sometimes wonder, when I hear other Christians pray for the salvation of the “lost,” if they realize that this comprehensive chaos is the desired end of such prayers. Often, people asked me to describe the “lessons” that I learned from this experience. I can’t. It was too traumatic. Sometimes in crisis, we don’t really learn lessons. Sometimes the result is simpler and more profound: sometimes our character is simply transformed. —Dr. Rosaria Butterfield

Interview with Rosaria Butterfield: Dr. Butterfield is a former lesbian, English professor, and author of the book featured just above, "The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert." In this one-hour conversation with Marvin Olasky of Patrick Henry College and World Magazine, Rosaria discusses her unexpected conversion to Christianity, and her incredible journey out of lesbianism and into traditional marriage. Her light-hearted yet honest and direct style in response to some very direct questions will be an encouragement to both women and men alike who struggle with the issue of homosexual repentance and healing.

Into the Promised Land - Beyond the Lesbian Struggle: is a title that is a metaphorical and biblical comparison to a very real, personal journey. It requires leaving your Egypt, traveling through the wilderness, and having the courage to enter the Promised Land, the land which the author calls "resting in God's perfect plan for our life." She wants others to experience with her a "purposeful pilgrimage" there, rather than a "weary wandering" headed nowhere.

Called Out - A Former Lesbian's Discovery of Freedom: leads readers through an inspiring testimony. From her decision to try the homosexual lifestyle, to the trauma and pain she suffered during her 14-years as a lesbian, and finally, to her glorious homecoming back to God, Janet Boynes discusses with honorable candor many of the issues so aggressively guarded by the gay rights agenda. Also recommended for anyone who knows a member of the homosexual community, and desires to love them as Christ would love them.

Captivating: What Wild at Heart did for men, Captivating does for women! John & Staci Eldredge take adult women on an uplifting journey to rediscover their God-given essence as women in a fallen world. Great read for husbands too! But definitely a "must read" for all women!

An intensive, encouraging, informative and personal weekend conference for church leaders and others wanting to be equipped to effectively minister to those who are struggling with homosexuality. For men and women looking to change their unwanted same sex attractions or unhappy with their homosexual thoughts, actions and lifestyles. For broken hearted parents, family members and friends of homosexuals, looking for answers and ways to help their loved ones out of homosexuality.

Healing Retreat Weekends:

Sponsored by Samson Society, the 48 Hours of Frankness Weekend is an in-depth journey through of the 7-Stages of The Path, which is the foundation of the Samson Society Charter. A 48-hour (Fri 7pm-Sun 3pm), in-depth journey up the mountain toward authentic and real, Christ-centered brotherhood. The structure of the weekend is made up of individual, large and small group activities. It has a special focus on the essential Silas relationship. If you have been to a men’s retreat before, you can be sure that this is a weekend where we retreat from nothing!

Men are strongly encouraged to have read the book, ‘Samson and the Pirate Monk’ and/or experienced Samson meetings.

Sponsored by People Can Change, Journey Into Manhood or, "JiM," is a 48-hour immersion in intensive emotional-healing work, designed specifically for men who are self-motivated and serious about resolving unwanted homosexual attractions. As a "journeyer," you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of group and individual exercises - including journaling, visualization, group sharing, safe healing touch and intensive emotional-release work - all in a very supportive yet challenging environment.

Journey Into Manhood is an experiential-learning weekend. We limit the use of classroom-style lectures. Instead, we create opportunities for you to experience healing, not just learn about it. One simple example: You won't just talk about what it is like to look another man in the eyes - you'll stand eye to eye with another man while we help you process whatever feelings might arise. All of the exercises are designed to help you identify and process the underlying issues that may be alienating you from your authentic heterosexual masculinity - and, ideally, to help you experience a deep emotional breakthrough.

Journey Into Manhood is not a religious retreat, although many men find it spiritually rewarding. Men of all faiths (or no faith) are welcome. We do teach the principle of "surrender" to a Higher Power or Greater Good. But we do not advocate a specific faith, nor will we intentionally challenge your religious beliefs. Journey Into Manhood is not professional therapy. It is not a gay-bashing weekend. It is not a place to meet potential sex partners. It is not a place for shaming. Quite the contrary: we affirm your inherent value as a man, just as you are. Journey Into Manhood is not appropriate for anyone who feels pressured to change against his will. It is only for men who already are sincerely self-motivated to resolve unwanted same-sex attractions, in accordance with their intrinsic values, beliefs and personal life goals.

Homosexuals and the Church: Excert: With Mr. Connell’s help, Jim asked God for forgiveness and trusted Jesus’ death on the cross as his only hope. Jim became a new person. He confessed his sin to his parents and asked his siblings for forgiveness. He felt like his insides had been washed clean, and the load of sin had been removed … for the most part. Yet one thing remained. Like King Saul’s confession before Samuel, he could “hear the bleating sheep.” As Jim plunged into his youth group activities and began participating in his church, he was haunted by his remaining secret. Jim had confessed everything, except that the pornography he had indulged in was homosexual porn. He had been transparent only to a point. Why? I’ve asked a lot of “Jims” why. Why is this one sin so different? Why would a teenager under “great conviction” gush with a confession of lying, lusting, fearing, and fuming, but hold back one sin from his tidal wave of confession?

My Genes Made Me Do It! A Scientific Look at Sexual Orientation: (downloadable in PDF format) The title is facetious, in an attempt to place in the public arena the scientific facts about homosexuality—particularly the information that the homosexual orientation is not inborn or hard-wired, and that sexual orientation can naturally undergo huge change. The West has been subject to such a campaign of misinformation and disinformation in the last 20-30 years that its public institutions, from legislatures and judiciaries to the church and mental health professions widely believe that the homosexual orientation is innate—in the sense of biologically imprinted—and therefore unchangeable. The implications of this are that anyone who makes the scientifically true statements below is considered the one who is misinformed.
• sexual orientation is not inborn but develops over some years in response to an individual’s response to life events— as many human predicaments do
• homosexual orientation can change, i.e half the homosexual population naturally moves towards heterosexuality over time (without any therapeutic interventions), and further and faster with counselling and support
• The same-sex attracted are not 10% of the population but (including bisexuals) much closer to 2.5%
The West has lost its way on this issue, and today we are all seeing the outcome.

On Masculinity - A Brief History of the Bromance: Coined in the 1990s by skateboard magazine editor David Carnie, the term “bromance” is an indicatively modern way of understanding deep and intimate friendship between men. And yet despite its very recent history, the type of bond that animates bromance is a much older phenomenon, stretching back for millennia. The increased recognition and tolerance of homosexuality also seems to have had a paradoxical effect in the emergence of bromance. It is thought that a weakening of homophobic sentiment leads heterosexual men to fear each other less, allowing them to form strong relationships without social repercussions. At the same time, this recognition of homosexuality also seems to have necessitated the carving out of a unique space that is distinct and separate from homosexuality. In this way, bromance is also a kind of reaction “against” homosexuality, calling for the creation of a distinct language and a specific type of relationship that persists as irreducible to homosexuality.

Dr. Joseph Nicolosi Interview With Michael Glatze: Michael Glatze decided at the age of 13 that he was gay, and he eventually founded Young Gay America, a nonprofit media outreach project and magazine. Through a series of incidents, however, Glatze slowly began to realize that he was not gay at all, but was dealing with fears about his own masculinity. Michael has since rejected his gay identity. His informative interview with Dr. Joseph Nicolosi describes his spiritual and emotional journey. This interview takes place in two parts, and each link below opens in a savable PDF Document format:

Sexual Freedom Always Curtails Other Freedoms: Today, there is little freedom for men to be physically affectionate toward one another. Writing an affectionate email might be seen as “girly” or “unmanly,” although it’s hard to imagine Teddy Roosevelt as a wimp. So, what happened? The sexualization of everything! As society has rushed to embrace homosexual behavior, the normal bonds of friendship between men have been curtailed.

How Can The Gospel be Good News for Gays? We were having lunch together, and I was praying like mad. My friend had been in a committed same-sex relationship for about 15 years. He was interested in Jesus; attracted to his teaching and message. But he wanted to know how becoming a Christian would affect his gay lifestyle... He had been quiet for a moment, and then looked me in the eye and asked the billion-dollar question: "What could possibly be worth giving up my partner for?"

A Christian Post Debate Series on the Bible & Homosexuality:
This is a three-part series that features both sides of the debate on the Bible and homosexuality. Part 1 begins the series with Matthew Vines, a "Christian" who claims that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Part 2 consists of responses from evangelical theologians. And finally, Part 3 features guest contributions from Christians who have chosen not to engage in homosexuality, and those who don't believe a gay lifestyle conflicts with the Bible.

For the record, I must clarify here that we believe "gay Christian" theology to be an unrepentant form of religious heresy at best. But it is more often considered to be a blatant form of apostasy from biblical Christianity. We feature this series for those who are unfamiliar with this particular religious debate and reasoning.

Male-Male Relationships, Gay and Straight: Masculine intimacy is taboo in Western culture. The people that might be expected to advocate it generally reject the value and benefits of masculinity itself, while the more primitive advocates of masculinity tend to view male intimacy (especially with other males) with great suspicion, if not otherwise motivated by outright homophobia. This informative and insightful article recognizes and confronts this issue.

Male Intimacy: Expounding further upon the article above, this writer communicates the closeness, tenderness, and intimacy that can exist between heterosexual males in certain cultural contexts, other than our own, where there is not a stifling fixation on genital sexuality. Unfortunately, observes the author, rather than learn about the wonder of intimate heterosexual friendship from biblical characters like Jesus and John, or David and Jonathan, these relationships are treated as sexual by many, as such intimacy between two people is usually only conceivable to us under such circumstances.

Healing and Growth, Homosexuality and Christian Character: In this article, published at Pure, a man of character holds to certain beliefs and his words and actions are consistent with those beliefs. He has integrity – a word that has the same root as integer – meaning one. He is singular in his approach to life. His internal life is consistent with what he appears to be. His words flow from honest convictions. His actions are determined, not by what is expedient, but by what is right. The homosexual man, at his stereotypical worst, can be the opposite of this.

In What Research Shows: NARTH offers a landscape review of more than one hundred years of experiential evidence, from over 600 clinical studies, and research studies that demonstrate that it is possible for men and women to diminish their unwanted homosexual attractions and develop their heterosexual potential. Further, mental health professionals competent to provide such care ethically may do so. This site is a collection of articles on various topics related to social skills and getting along with other people. However, taken as a whole, it's also a guide on how shy, lonely, socially awkward people can get over their issues. Definitely worth your time!

The Real Gay Agenda, Exposed!

Gay rights activists do have a radical homosexual agenda, and it is making news headlines on a daily basis. But the mainstream news media goes out of their way to completely ignore the radical nature of that campaign and agenda, and so the public remains mostly ignorant to this continual assault upon our values and way of life. So we make it a point to keep track for you! This link will take you to our Facebook Page, where we post such news articles daily. Visit regularly, or subscribe to us on Facebook, and stay informed!

Homosexuals in the Military Demand Special Privileges - Toleration Doesn’t Cut Both Ways: Even the left-leaning Washington Times recognizes, one year after the forced repeal of the Military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell Policy, that "tolerance" for homosexulity in the military doesn't equate to "tolerance" for the objections and religious beliefs of the heterosexuals in the military, whom these new open-homosexuality policies have been forced upon. Activists inside and outside our government who pushed the repeal have deployed a smoke screen around the fact that once the military was forced to exalt homosexuality in the ranks, the all-too-foreseen consequence reared its ugly head. Examples include reported but unpunished sexual harassment by homosexuals; military chaplains threatened with ultimatums or reassigned for adhering to their faiths; and leadership double-standards that give preferential treatment to homosexuals.

A group dedicated to exposing the homosexual activist agenda. Founded by Peter LaBarbera in 1996, and newly reorganized in 2006, AFTAH seeks to apply the same single-minded determination to opposing the radical homosexual agenda and standing for God-ordained sexuality and the natural family, as countless homosexual groups do in promoting their harmful agenda.

Communist Goals - 1963 Congressional Record:

Does any of this sound familiar? It should... It's happening to America today!

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

The "Gay Revolution" is real! And the extremist, homosexual sentiments expressed within this linked article have been embraced by many gay rights activists.
